Dave Phoenix, President of the Burke and Wills Historical Society, crossed Australia following the route of Burke and Wills in 2008. He is now writing a set of Burke and Wills Touring Guides based on his historic trip.

The first volume, Following Burke and Wills Across Victoria, has now been published. This Touring Guide includes maps and route details, information about the places where the Expedition camped, both as they were then and as they are now, extracts from the diaries, information about the explorers, and about the observations of science and the environment made on the Victorian leg of the Expedition.
